The only bad thing i know of is that old race ones can give problems with the aautomatic cam chain tensioner. If it has been raced replace it (lift the tank and its only 2 bolts to remove) and all will be fine.

Oh yea the clutch can get a bit grabby after repeated hard starts as well. They are strong as a tank. You will love it. Thats saying something comming from a R1 owner, apparently we hate suzukis hahaha

Didn't say they where SLOW ! 299k is far from slow dude Said their Motor needed to have some work , Eg refine the Delivery down low & sort the rear end out . Gearing will liven up bottom end of your Bike Shit loads

    Blah

Hey Oil Boiler, there'll probably be a cheap K6 in the next couple of months, just keep ya eyes peeled on here, as there was a couple of cheap K5's going last year. Just ask Dover - I hear he is quite well informed with cheap gixxer's

I've just picked up a PC, Micron pipe and a K&N filter. It's booked on the 16th to have all this installed and tuned on the dnyo at AMPS. What do you mean by sorting the back end out? Also, what's your suggestion on the gearing?

It finally got started and off we went. You're right, the thing pulls like a school boy and it almost had my blade beat but we had to stop to fill it up with oil. Just as well as there was a corner coming up so we pushed it around just to be on the safe side. While topping her up and duct taping the exhaust back on, this 4 year old wanders up and says "fuck, that's one ugly mother of a bike mister." It just gutted me. My mates only saving grace is that once a year the Council have an inorganic collection so it won't cost him anything to dispose of it.

    Yada, yada, yada.

Pissing myself laughing Not that i agree, suzukis are great, but thats just classic.

Make sure they get the bottom end off throttle well sorted up to & past 5000rpm . Back end when I road Dave's lacked enough Rebound damping , Eg run out of adjustment before I could get it to where I wanted it to be . Front felt Mint as excellent feed back even when pushed & good plush ride when in town . Gearing I dropped mine one tooth which transfomed the all ready excellent bottom end that GSXR's have into a Beast out of corner's 3rd gear power stands on throttle , that all aside tho speedo out 10k's now so would need a Speedo Healer if ya wanted to get thing's but to normal . Could get you Settings off Mates front end that I did for him if keen ? Hope all goes will ya Dyno run . Friend got his done at Garry Pendiltons ? GP Trading Very Impressive 7hp + Top end , 4 + Bottom end
