We are not all scum, should not all be treated like it, and are likely to fight back however we can when we are treated like that. I am a (mostly) law abiding person. Family man, nice guy, honest and helpful as well but when you lot are mean to me just for the sake of revenue raising what do you expect. Sure give me a ticket when i am speeding (i mean speeding not doing 107k in a 100k zone). I will probibly even manage to have a laugh with ya about finally being caught. But Rape my pocket over nothing and i will rape you back even if the worst i can do is verbilise my displeasure and tie you up in court for a day. Shit i got pleanty of time to waste. How about you?
I see your point although you had a good case and better to say what you think in Court and maybe show the Officer in a bad light then cause now you will be up against it....mind you could just apologies for outburst and explain that you were pissed off after the theft....human nature and all that.

Remember even if the likes of Scumdog agree with you are they really gonna say so on a Public forum........I reckon Scumdog is fair and reasonable guy.

Yep thats true. If i appoligise i will probibly be able to plead my case a little better but i am not going to. I have been wronged and i am not going to beg for mercy. I will put my case forward warts and all. I am prepared for a further charge of (basicly) abusing an officer (as i have been threatened with by the prosecuter) I do not expect to get off. Nor do i expect a reduction in the fine ($600 so far). I expect to have to pay costs of about the same as the fine. So $1200 because someone broke into my car and some cop didn't like my haircut sounds about right dont you think. Oh yea and the excess of $250 as well. Its not like i was driving a shitter. it was a 97 Skyline in mint condition (except for the windscreen and dash)

I was ok with the fact some lowlife had ripped me off. Thats what they do. Its why i have insurance. I was not ok about being treated poorly by a (un)Civil Servent wearing a uniform.

Can't you just swallow your pride..........better chance of at least reducing fine because if you rant and rave you just walk into their hands again and if you don't they may be caught off guard..........I tell you what if you promise to be good I will buy you a few beers......

Nor do I bugger.....but you are not giving up cause you are defending which is the important thing which suggests that you would really love to win so why rant and rave when you otherwise at least have a chance of winning and at least leave the Court with your head high......okay make it 8 bottles of 'V'....don't see any pride in ranting and raving......arh fuckit.....I am on a looser ain't I?

    Good luck

It,s funny when they [not all]can step up to the mark at a crash scene, fight, or drowning when off duty but can,t seem to find the time to haul their ass around to your house when you,ve had a break in when they are on duty. All rise for Sir Pratt.

Is Sir Pratt trying to give us the impression that when one is of duty one then patrols the streets, highways and waterways so one can step up to the mark.Fucking bollocks.

Thanks G. Yea i know i will get further if i grovel and prostrate myself before the judge/JP and the police but that is not what i am about. The money doesnt bother me. Not that i have heaps, its just i would rather be able to walk out of the court knowing that i have defended myself against the odds. Even if i get a beating i dont really care. There is nothing more satisfying than standing up for something you know is right, getting kicked down by the powers or the odds and still having the courage to try to stand up again.

I have a copy of the police report, the officers notes, my call to the police call center, witness statements (the cop didn't even notice i had someone in the car i dont think), My WOF papers from that time, a copy of the rego cert, etc. None of this will make any difference tho because i was charged with "failing to display a current WOF and Failing to display a current Rego". apparently it doesn't matter that it was regoed and wofed at the time. They were not stuck to the vehicle in the approved place.

I will save the ranting for after the JP has slapped me with the $600 costs, then i am prepared to spend a couple of days in the cells for what i will say.
At least then i will get something for my money..... hotels are expensive... HAHAHA

Quite frankly I think you have been dealt a raw deal and whoever did it to you along with those that are rubbing your nose in it should be ashamed of themselves for making a bad scene worse. At least you know (like they also know) who the real morons are here. You gotta realise that these guys have a gang type mentality (Mongrel mob, Black Power, Police, same mentality just different sides of the law) and no matter what you say they will band together against you. Like front line troops in a war they are not selected for intelligence or any sort of individual/origional thought and there are countless stories of police reverting to basic and primitive tribal type behaviour (thats the type they attract). Here we have the gang in blue being a bunch of guys of very average intelligence, elevated to a status far in excess of thier abilities (because of which side of the law they are on) and we expect discretion..Yeah Right.
