Maybe if i am really lucky they will add the further charge (some crap about swearing at an officer) to the list. If they think threats will put me off defending they are wrong. It will only make me more determined. Imagine the newspaper headlines in the court news THEFT VICTIM CHARGED or THEFT VICTIM CHARGES POLICE WITH HARRASMENT. I love a good fight. VICTIM OF THEFT CHALLENGES POLICE IN HIGH COURT. I will take it all the way. Will they? You bet. They will not admit when they have made a mistake in the application of a law. Sure they have followed the letter of the law but i was only driving the car to the local cop shop so they could see the damage like i was instructed to by the call center.

Amen to that brother. I spent enough time on my knees when i was a kid. It sucked being short and not knowing how to fight. But its great being short and knowing how to. Everyone underestimates you. If you stand up for yourself and get the shit kicked out of you the pain is more than compensated for. Stand up and fight for yourself or no one else will is my moto.

Also nice being tall and not having to fight (most of the time), shame you get forced into the situation of having to fight.
Good luck with the ticket thing, good chance you'll get it tossed out.

I don't know scumdog but since all cops are dumb asses with no intelligence, then this must be the answer of a rocket scientist.

I don't make generalisations about a group of people, there are good and bad people in every organisation.
As I have said before there is always two sides to a story and reading a forum such as this and jumping to a conclusion about the police shows lots of intelligence. NOT

I have just started here by telling you (a cop I presume) that I am not happy with the level of service I (as a voting tax payer, one of your employers/customers) recieve.

You stick to being a cop and take on board the feedback and Ill stick to driving jet airliners and continue to listen to customer feedback as well. Its all in the name of improving what we do.

Can you let us all know, in advance, the date of your court appearance. It would be worth the ride to Christchurch to be a spectator in court on that day.
    Time to ride

You're not MY employer - I pay taxes too, therefore I am self employed and not answerable to you or anyone else.

Remember even if the likes of Scumdog agree with you are they really gonna say so on a Public forum........I reckon Scumdog is fair and reasonable guy.
Here you go R1... I thought bum deal, talk about being re-victimised. Loosing your rag though probably just brought attention to yourself for next time tho...

Grahameeboy sums it up tho quite nicely... but I can tell ya now, I wouldn't have ticketed you, if your story was real... were you going in to the cop shop to report the theft/damage or were ya cruisin??????? BIG difference to the outcome, don't ya think?

I recall 3 streekid girls in Mt Roskill getting released from prison for aggravated robbery after an investigation said that they may not have been responsible and Police got it wrong, and apologised...probably paying out cash settlelents too...
