Funny you should say that Colapop. I was going to go door to door and say 'Do you own the Mazda Familia, cause your lights are on" Then I was going to let my nephew give some justice. (he's a huge bugger!_Originally Posted by Colapop

Sergent Kels....hmmmm nice ring to it

Good on ya, kels.
May not have gotten the guy, but at least the car is back, and with common sense like that, shouldn't be too long before he's caught.
Not siding with anybody but wouldn't it be interesting to see what this place (nz) would be like without coppers? Lotsa people bust their chops about the shit job they do or don't do but how badly do ya think they moan if we didn't have 'em?
No hijack inteneded.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
we will remember them
Good on ya Kels... maybe it should be Detective Kels..... glad you got a good result from a not so good situation.... I do feel for the cops tho as you cant operate properly if you don't have the right support....
on another note, my Dad's race car got stolen out of his shed one night, he heard it start up and jumped out of bed... mum called the cops and dad got in his Monaro... chased after the race car and after a police/Monaro chase from west to shore to city to south, they cought up to the bugger and recovered the race car... cops were glad for the assistance of dad keeping up as he had the same engine in his Monaro as the race car and the coppers couldn't keep up on the m/way and the search split up, he kept in cell contact with them... bear in mind, this was about 15 years ago before PC cops came in who obeyed speed limits in chases...

I have friends that are police officers and would hate to think what it would be like without them. As the officers said that attended when we recovered it said "this should have never happend" I have always said that they are only human and everyone ...yes even me....makes mistakes

The reason I don't mind watching a pig getting a hiding if he deserves it is the same reason I don't mind watching other people get a hiding if they deserve it. There's definitely a few guys on the frontline who do themselves no favours. But I can think of a few people who have nothing to do with the police that fit into the same category. So don't take it to heart D50. You guys have a shit job, with shit backup from a poorly managed organisation. Putting massive resources in to traffic at the expense of other areas of policing is an example of the fine management. Traffic may well be there to back you up when you're short, but the question must be asked why general duties are short in the first place? And that's a question the frontline have no control over the solution to.Originally Posted by Dynamytus50
