Wellington Newbie ride 12 Feb

Yep - big thanks to the organisers and a special thanks to my partner "BusaJim" for his patient guidance of us newbies. Nice to meet some new people and say hello to the ones we met last time.

I agree - I spent half the day following BusaJim and he was great - even gave handle signals to point out hazards and slow down oncoming cages.
Thanks Uncle B for organising the ride again - it somehow got a bit more split up than last time, but was still a really great group ride.
I'd be happy to not see gravel like that again (my first time).

FTR, I don't have web access on Sun morning before the ride, so all that discussion about postponing the ride completely passed me by. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to broadcast cancellations/postponments other than on this site, eg using txt?

Someone could definately send you a txt with any updates on the morning of the ride. I have access to KB all the time
