    Fastest route to Kai-iwi lakes

For those that have been to Kai-iwi lakes, which way is faster Auckland.

Do I hit Whangarei then head west or do I head west at Brenderwyn?
Which way has less pot holes?
I wave to every biker I see.

    Thumbs up

The fastest way for you would be to turn off at the Brenderwyns and head down towards Maungataroto and beyond until ya hit Dargiville.
Pretty straight rds so personally I'd get some SH16 action in on the way up....that is unless you'd like to see some REAL riding roads...PM me for details...cash or credit cards accepted

West at the Brenderwyn's through Maungaturoto/Ruawai, there was a real bad bit just out of Maungaturoto but it has been re-sealed, nice road now...

I would definitely take 16 then up to Brynderwyns and left.
