    Sex on wheels

Had the only other Aprilia Tuono Racing in on Thurs. Couldn't even sit on it. (Presold). Ohlins this, carbon fibre that, drool!
Are streetfighters going to be the next big thing?

Yeah, stunning aren't they. Well, so long as you put a paper bag over the crap dash layout. There is a "Racing" Tuono around Welly now. The owner's pretty damn happy with it. The idea of a stunt bike that wheelies, stoppies and turns like a dream appeals to me, and not being tempted to exceed 200ks ever time you turn the key sounds good.
The KTM Duke 990 thingy looks the best of the bunch - I know its not even in production yet but one day maybe - ah bugger, I'll never be able to afford one.

Better still, who's seen the latest pics of the 1130cc Benelli naked bike. Now that's what Darth Vader would ride!

Sweet bikes, but I still fantasise over the Brutale...
If you squint after drinking a few gins my scoot kind of looks like the Brutale. Well no, actually it doesn't but colours are similar, yeah... let me dream.

Someday we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Thanks Rocket. Guess I should learn how to add pics so everyone knows what we're talking about.

Can't say they do anything for me but they are huge in europe so it will eventually catch on here I guess?

Was looking at an Aprilia at Waihi today, that swing arm is a piece of art.
Kind of like street fighters myself, more so if they are home built like the Pom's are doing.

For me if it came to a choice I would still go for the Brutale. Good looking bikie though but the Brutale looks meaner.

The Tuono Racing is far better value for money than the Brutale. For only a couple of thou extra you get all the carbon plus Ohlins all round.

But when you're forking out that sort of money for a bike logic goes out the window and you buy whatever makes you weak at the knees.

    Ha, something like that.

When I was in ChCh at Xmas Eric Woods had a Tuono Racing in his shop. Very nice bike but I wouldn't spend another cent in his shop (lots of pent up frustration from the grief I had when I was a lad in ChCh and brought a rg250 from him).
