The CBR250's hold their value quite well. Because they are a very reliable and good bike that a learner can ride, they go for alot more than the other 4 stroke 250's.

$4500 isnt too bad, but see how low you can push him.
I have made an offer of 4k,and hes ok with it.
I just hope like hell it comes out of the pre purchase check with nothing more than petty cosmetic damage if not, i have a back up plan, the cbr250r.. (though it seriously looks like its a 1989 model, not a 1991. maybe it was registered afew years late?) the cbr250r in question, the white one, has more rust on it, and i beleive is in worse condition, and not as good mechanically.

on a side note i wonder how much it would cost to have the scuff marks repaired on the 250rr? Im guessing it would be insanely, ridiculously expensive

Find yourself a good painter, Mate. You'd be supprised how little it costs. The decals are the expensive parts and a decent painter will paint them on anyway.

OK . i had the cbr250rr tested today at mt eden motor cycles. heres whats wrong with it:

    50/50 tyre worn

brake master cylinder needs overhaul due to being sticky..(i noticed it on the ride back)

front brakes cometimes keep the brake light going (i think thats what this means)

engine noises, uneven running due to carb issues

    engine respose sluggish

prevoius accident damage : left side + front end twisted

compression, 75psi on all 4 cylinders

bad huh? dont think im going for that particular RR.
