In light of the ALL the recent threads with biker cop related content, I was wondering how many of the biker cops here have their own bikes and if they use them for daily commuting?

Think alot of people will be subscribing to this thread.

Not all do. I spoke to a big Maori dude who was doing seatbelt checks outside my office (there were 2 cop bikes and two patrol cars, a commendable use of police resources if you ask me!) and he said he doesn't even ride outside the job.
Not all do. Confirmed by the policeman I was speaking to 20 secs ago
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
Hadn't you also ask how many of the car cops ride bikes??
Interesting silence on this thread.
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
BikeyCop rides a Blackbird, but I dunno if he commutes on it.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()

Of course not, he rides the cop bike, and his "commute" is round and round, involving parking up at lightsOriginally Posted by vifferman

I guess this thread held as much promise as one titled "Has anyone tried online dating?", "Advice needed for transgender operation", and "This rash wont clear up, should I seek medical attention?".

No, that would suggest I was interested in gathering information about ALL the police who frequent this forum, when all I was curious about was whether bikecops ride to work or not.Originally Posted by Motu
The lack of response is interesting, 'tis but a very innocent question, maybe none of our law-enforcing brethern have seen it yet...although they have been very vocal on other threads, hmmm.
Maybe they just consider it a waste of time and not worthy of reply. Do not engage the suspect in ideal banter, as you may become distracted or something.
I just thought as a group of bikers they must put in some serious saddle time, more then most of us, I'll bet. I look forward to my commute, such that it is, but if I rode the highways and byways of the country all day I think I might not be so enthaused by the prospect of my trip home. Hey, maybe thats just me, what say the boys!
Ditto come on you coppers, we're curious...Originally Posted by skelstar

I might post a thread asking what other Electroincs Engineers ride etc...Im sure that we will have a reasonable proportion of EE's responding.
Web developers, are you any more secretive/selective?
Lets not get started on teat-tuggers.

Thought about using a similiar example, There appears to be a glut of IT bodies here - but it didn't really fill the ride to work, ride at work, ride home criteria. Anyway who cares what IT numpties ride, (pillion?)Originally Posted by skelstar
