Ah.. No Blackbirds, the ZZR11 was similar, I want that power, less lard, much quicker handling, pillion is 2nd... It's my bike, I'm selfish...

The only Hondas that appeal are the SP1-2 and the Blade... SP tank range is shocking so that leaves the Blade (which I am definitely considering)

I want a sports bike ! But I'd also like something with character, I don't mean that stuff falls off it, just something I can look at and say 'that's my bike, that's why I bought it'

I can be psychotic on the bike, I go over the Paekak hill a few times a week and have been known to touch body parts to the road (std disclaimer applies, I'm a medical lab assistant, the body parts are not mine, I just like to scrape them on the road and leave blood trails to freak the police out). Mostly though I just wobble through traffic home/back so the bike has to do both of these things without exploding.

    Sedge.

ps. I don't work in a lab at all, I just rummage through the bins

*edit* No offence to the Police, Honda owners or lab assistants... I don't mean to sound like a cunt.

heres a couple of ideas Sedge, 93 Blade at henderson Motorcycles $8495,
97 YZF1000 private in Akld $7200, or trackdown a RR (WSB)model of one these. Or last idea go balistic & throw a ZX9R donky in the ZXR simple transplant operation (GP motorcycles have a C1 ZX9R engine for $2g)

I do like them, bloody good value too, 11k new ! I just know that in a few months I'd want something else.

I've got a chance to get something special, I may not get another for a long time.

    There is a solution.

I have been importing used bikes for years on the quiet. I dont usually advertise the fact but i can get just about anything people want. The only downfall is that if its something i dont have on the way already there is a delay of up to 8 -10 weeks while i find one and get it shipped. I offer a 100% customer satisfaction guarentee on all my imports. If it arrives and is not exactly as it has been described there is no pressure to purchase and i will fully refund any deposit paid.
I do not have a shop, i do all my dealings from a 4 car garage (to keep my costs down so you get a better deal) but i am looking to set up a wharehouse here.
If you are serious about buying and want a good bike at a great price with excellent custiomer service give me a call.
    Ian 021 1876987 or 03 9816399

    How about a
99 R1 Heaps of goodies on it $10K
    ZX9R 1998 for $9K
    Ducati 900SS 92 - 96 for under $10K ( a couple to choose from)
    Triumph daytona 98 $9700
    Ducati ST2 (944 motor) $9500 upwards

Want to spend a little more?
    Harley Davidson 2000 FXDX Sport 33000K $18100
    Harley Davidson 2002 FATBOY $19000

You tell me what you want. It can be found..........

well... I have to say this GO THE ZX7R

weight wise, yes it is heavy for a sportsbike, but that makes it planted on the road. You should get 220 to 240 without reserve.

2000 or newer might be hard for $10k, but the P series is an awesome bike. If you enjoy modding the bike, the 9 engine just about bolts into the chassis I believe, or there is the 810cc big bore kit I believe. Not to mention normal mods.

One damn good looking bike, and even more amazing when you consider it was designed in 1996.

the ZX9R motor does fit into a ZX7R frame though not as easily as into a earlier ZXR frame, theres a difference between the two as the ZX7R frame is slightly shorter which is where the trouble starts.
ZX7R (ZX750P)as you've got Gremlin is/was a top bike and way more than capable of cutting it today weight or no weight but the big bang ZX7RR (ZX750N) is the prized toy to have if it ever appears (there was one in ChCh at Sportszone Suzuki a while back that went for $10995).

There was a zx750n in Waipukurau, for list $6995 or $7995, it was on biketrader when I was looking. I decided not to get one as it was less ridable on the roads, with the power sitting higher up, and the lack of a pillion seat. Some reviews/fan pages on the net also stated the r was quicker than the rr on normal roads. Track, there is no doubt as to the rr's ability.

Not sure what I'm going to do with mine... quite a while away yet. Either the 9 engine, or the 810cc big bore kit (the racers were allowed to run these when the 1000cc bikes came out, and the 7 was still beating them). A supercharger could also be an option... don't need to think about it yet tho...

edit: TWR... wow... there are a lot of mods to that bike.... whoevers it is, can I swap??

I do like the ZX7R... I also like the RSV (a lot) Anyone tried both ? Is the RSV $4K better than a 7R ?

From what I've read about the 7R the best value mod isn't an engine swap but dropping in the crank from the M model, bumps capacity up to 793cc and 130rwhp.

Ah... I'd never do it though, insurance would be a nightmare.

So at the moment it's looking like RSV or 7R, they both look special (too me) and fill the other requirements, the RSV would be ideal, it's just finding one in my price bracket.

There is still a 96 ZX7RR for sale at $6995ono from a dealer... PM me if you want details.

If you have several bikes that are still an option, another KB'er put it a good way.

Putting them all side by side in your garage, which would you ride more??
