I reckon they're still metric, trying hard to break into an imperial market.
When I'm big enough for a cruiser, and still can't afford a Harley, I'm gettin' me a Valkyrie.
"Metric" cruisers since they're japanese
"imperial" cruisers since the engine is measured in cubic inches
Both since the engine is measured in imperial but everything else is metric

vs04 and virago started the pesonal shit up til then it was just about bikes but if vs04 feels like he needs 140 Triumph owners to back him up then he is a pencil dick and a Wannabe. Iv'e never had the problem of not being able to afford the bike that I want at any time but if I did have that problem I still wouldn't buy a half arsed excuse for somting that I aspire toOriginally Posted by Vagabond
As others have said it's an attempt to make the US market take their cruisers seriously. I've ridden Harleys, and Metric cruisers, and I really like the Street Rod, the Mean Streak, and the Roadstar Warrior. But if I was going to put a huge chunk of cash down on a cruiser it would have to be a Star Roadliner in Midnight trim. I love that '30s Streamline Moderne look.

But you said everything that wasn't a Harley was a wannabe. Why would you buy a Triumph? Oh dear.Originally Posted by zrxer
Look, if you don't like Jap cruisers, don't bother replying to a thread like this. Go and piss on someone else's conversation. Better still, grow up.

Not all sport bikers dislike cruisers. I have had pleanty of both. I like talking to the chaps/chapesses about their rides. Cruiser riders do it slow but they see more than the rest of us do.
