    Tauranga to Dunedin trip

Hi there most of you will think I am insane when you hear what I plan to do this year.

I have been informed that furconz will be held down dunedin this year aroudn about december. I am curently planning on riding down there on my susuki gsxr 250, staying there for a couple of days and then riding back up to taranga.

My question to any kiwibikers out there, who would be interested in acompanying an insane rider even part of the way? or at least who could take pity on him and let him rest the night some place in Welington, and Christchurch Or there abouts, if not for the night jsut for a drink and meet?

Also does any one konw how far it is because I am guessing about 1300kms

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Well I'm in, then.
Sounds kinky. Fur-fetishists' convention? Hmm... Excuse me while I try to find my copy of Sacher-Masoch...

I can give you a place to stay just North of Chch, depending on when it is might even ride part of the way with you.

dude... how scarey is this.. i was wanting to get a bike soon, and at the end of the year ride to dunedin for xmas ect, seeings how ive got family there. I live in auckland, but im originally from tauranga

Ive made the trip by car many a time, and yes its about 1300 ks. the roads at the top of the south island are awesome, ive never rode a bike on them, but the scenery is awesome. the south island is just sooooo much better (nature and scenery wize) than the north..
Id be keen to ride then from dunedin to queenstown, then through to wanaka. if you havent been there, GO THERE!

the dates seem good as well, if i could somehow scrounge those days off from work (which would be an utter mission, seeings how everyone would want that time off), or, even better, if i leave work, id be damn keen to ride with u

some things have to happen in order for it to happen though..

1: i need to buy a reliable bike (im looking for a 250cc 4 stroke, simaler to your gsxr250. ive got afew im eying up right this second, infact a cbr250rr to go look at in 30 mins )

2: i need to be able to have my finances all sorted out by december

3: id need to get the time off for the trip. id be keen to stay in dunedin for 2 weeks, not just afew days.

ok id better get ready to go look at this cbr.....

Stay with me and my "clan" if you like.

They're an odd bunch (ask Motoracer) but we're pretty easy to get along with.

GSXR will feel right at home in the garage too!
