Seven go mad in da Bronx

Our day started with a wee trip to Motomail to check on the Hippie. Turns out he's been too much of a wimp to go into work because, apparently, broken collar bones HURT! So off we went to the Hippie's place for a spot of kidnapping and fun in the sun (did you know that sunburn really hurts too?)

Off to Mr Me's house for a bit of mechanical ineptitude on the street magic and voila.... it still won't go! The lads commisserated with a few of Mr Steinlagers finest, before we were joined by Grunta, Mr and Mrs Bugjuice and some Nepalese chappie (who was a bit late due to doing his good samaritan bike recovery service).

After blindfolding the Bugjuices and Motoracer we attempted to head off to the secret location, but it turns out you can't actually drive whilst blindfolded. Who would have thunk??? So after swearing them to secrecy we mosied out with the pitbike, quad and minimoto.

With so many people jostling for rides it got a bit ugly for a while, but soon there was plenty of mayhem to disturb the couple who had decided to have an afternoon nap in the middle of the wee traffic island thingy!

Motoracer was attempting knee down action on the pit bike and was putting on a pretty good pace. Bugjuice needed to spend some time actually figuring out how to ride the pitbike before attempting wheelies! But then he discovered the joys of two wheels on the quad and we had difficulty prising him off it. Mrs Bugjuice conveniently left her jeans at home, so it was into the back of the van for a quick strip and exchange of jeans/little skirt. If you'd wanted to see me half naked Mrs BJ, you could have just asked!!!

Towards the end of the session Mr Me decided young Tristan was ready to attempt riding the pit bike (despite the fact that his feet can't touch the ground by a good 8 inches). So we all converged to the field to watch his progress. By crikey that boy is a natural - after a few minutes he was changing gears and even trying to tug the handlebars up into a wheelie.

Great time had by all. Thanks to Mr and Mrs BJ, Motoracer, Mr and Mrs Hippie for coming to join our fun. Hope to do it all again soon. I might have to buy my own pitbike before then so that I can at least get a turn!

Yup, another great day by all.

I'm now sporting more grazing to the right knee, right shoulder and hand and a pair of torn Shift riding pants.

Forks sliding right through the tripple clamps is always a good answer to quicker steering. Took two big offs for me to realise this was the cause.

It was a fun day for sure. Watching WT go hard on Tristan's lil minimoto and leaving BJ was pretty funny. fuck he was riding real hard and smooth.. Knee downs with his jeans on and everything. Still though, as hard as you tried, I'm sure I looked cooler than you on two wheels.

Thanks for letting me come along and have a few beers and ofcourse play with your fun toys!!

ain't it about time you learned to ride....everytime I here bout one of your rides... your on the tank over or over the bar's....back wheel off the ground or front... grazing yourself, bruising yourself got some rash on your self..breaking something, bending something else...

it sounds like you ride too fast for your abilities...I'm not sure if its a ego thing [keeping up with the boys] or a mental inability to realise what your doing wrong... have you had any tutoring from senior members?

You obviously weren't trying hard enough. Next time ditch some of your safety gear!
