Went for a small ride yesterday

It was myself and my youngest daughter at home yesterday morning so I decided to do a few maintenance jobs to the ZZR. To cut a long story short my eldest daughter came over and I ended up babysitting my eldest grandson (I have two), so it was just the two of us.

Whenever he comes over the first thing he always does is to jump on the bike (and leave dirty fingerprints everywhere). So yesterday I thought I would take the young fella for a ride (and for all you gear nazis we only had running shoes, jeans, and a t-shirt on, and it felt good too ). Put the bike back together, sat him on the tank, feet on the top of the fairing, and holding on (for dear life) to the clutch and front brake master cylinders. He had an absolute ball so much so that when we pulled up outside the garage he wanted to go again. So what was I to do? Take him out again, yep. Great fun, just a shame we didn't get past the front lawn.

We have someone who will take up the sport when he's older. I also look forward to the day when he's big enough for me to take him out on the road.

oh yeah...I'd say in about 10 years you may well regret getting him interested in YOUR favourite passion ZZR?
...altho maybe it could be a good idea.... he'll be able to take you round in your 'declining' years

Not only under-dressed but proud of it. Just think of the children...

Those kids must think they have got a pretty cool grandad. Good on ya ZZR.

Bikes are built with these kid magnets. They don't seem to turn on all the time, mostly when there are kids in the back of a car, kids with Mum who is trying to keep them away from the biker influence, and related kids. Actually, these magnets also act on dogs inside cars and cause them to get agitated and start barking loudly. It's really funny to watch from the outside.
I have just found out that they have removed the word gullible from the dictionary

Cheeky bugger, you've actually met him - xmas bbq. Observant too aren't ya.

That girl that was with us the other is my youngest daughter who happens to be 14. You've met her before (xmas bbq) and I happened to introduce her the other night as well, where were you? I'm sure you were there... (Who loves being on the bike but not being with her old man in public - typical teenager )

I'll ignore the comment about the training wheel and give it the contempt it deserves...

Back on topic (sort of) kids are great when it comes to bikes, they love them regardless of breed and no preconceptions of the rider.

That time will fly past faster than you think, problem is as they grow up you grow "old".
Sorry to rain on your party!
