    Suzuki parts

Boy, it can be a challenge finding parts for an older bike. Im restoring a GSX400F (1983) and something as simple as a tacho cable is a challenge to find

Are there any GOOD specialist Suzuki wreckers in Auckland? It seems that despite the popularity of the bike, there is a shortage of good parts

I know there's a place in Christchurch that can make those cables... the name escapes me now, but someone will know. (Had work done there before, was well done too)

I thought all tacho's were electric. Or did you mean the speedo cable. There is a guy in Tauranga who can make them for a small fee. I think he's semi retired and just does it as a hobby. He made one for my car from scratch for $30. PM me if you want his details.

Im gonna order the stock part as it seems the price is similar to the one the wreckers want. LOL at the all tachos are electric comment. No, back in the stone age we used rotary cables

I just picked up a fairly mint looking HONDA CBR 400 NC23 off trademe, so the rush has died for parts. Now I can use the CBR while taking my time over the GSX.

I found a good tacho cable at Atomic in Takapuna, the guy was very helpful. Hooked me up with a replacement seat cover as well
