Eh yeah - Mr. "I can't brake properly"......

But when you open the home page and look under recent threads it doesn't say which section the thread belongs to.

Alright back to your dirt bikes now. :spudwave:

I have a love\hate relationship with my XR600R - it's the second slowest bike I've ever owned, but it has given me two of my worst accidents on the road (wasn't sure if I could ever run again after one incident). On the other hand, the engine's amazingly reliable and has loads of "character".

Sadly, I'll be putting it up for sale soon as I move towards buying a house..

XR range was a great range no doubt about it. Farmers bike to be sure, sturdy reliable and enough guts to get you where you want to go and enuf to have fun with. Id agree with the 200 being better of the 2. But heck the CRF230 has taken over the farm duties being as seems they have just made an in between bike that has terrible suspension heavy as hell and poor brakes (everything the modern XRs are today). So Honda still supply a half decent bike that doesn't require a shit load of maintenance of the likes of the screaming 4stroke race breed machines.:eyepoke:

Or do you want to put the other one into it also? I'm quite keen to see if I can get a road legal CRF450, will find out at some stage and get back to you all on that one. . No there is not a DRZ650, but a DR650SE, see ----------------------->http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products...6/Default.aspx for info. There is a KLX650 though and there is one on trade me that I'd love to get my hands on, see ----------------->http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.asp?id=47449527
One suggestion crazyxr250riderm, its cool to be passionate about a brand of bike, but not to the extent of rubbishing all others. I know from experience as thats exactly how I started off here at kiwibiker. I have actually found a soooki that I like the look of and I am told I can test pilot that and the kawasaki. However my first choice still is the road legal CRF450, provided they do one. Either way the bike below is awesome IMO.

    Honda XR80

Ah, I remember months of fun and joy thrashing about paddocks on my XR80 until my brother decided he would pull it apart and snapped the clutch plate in the process.

Good bikes, but A LOT out dated with what is being produced these days.

There is outdated....and there is also fit for purpose.Bikes like the DT175 and ER185 are still produced today, they are decades more outdated than an XR,but they fill a market segment enough to keep up the demand.
