I've found as a general rule the slower they (any other rider, not limited to Harleys) lanesplit, the less they look in their mirrors. And the less inclined they are to make any effort to let a faster bike splitting up behind them go through. Like cage drivers in the fast lane - "I'm going fast enough for me, any bugger who wants to pass must be a friggin idiot and therefore I'm not letting 'em through."
Except Jim2, he moves over very courteously.
