Helping up and coming racers, everyone check this out!

    Hey everyone,

As you know I for the past year I have been racing my standard ZXR400 in every race I can afford to go to consistently getting in top 2 places for Club races and getting consistently in the top 8 at National level. My aim was for 2006 was to start racing a 600. So I started to prep my GSX-R ready for the track.

Now as some of you know Trev (thats his KB name and real name) has been my Race Manager for the past few months. Now while alot of people have been talking about how others can help racers and what they should do to help racers, Trev has been walking the talk and going at it like a raging bull looking for sponsership and getting contacts.

Trev has now put his money where his mouth is and bought a fully race preped K4GSX-R600 (Shaun Harris' old bike) and given it to me to race. I will be racing this full time and doing every race I can on it as well as having a serious crack at doing all of the Nationals this year. I will be running it as my bike so i will still be transporting people and bike to races, as well as servicing and buying tyres etc (in otherwords still spending all my money on racing, you dont want to see my bill at the bike shop hehehe).

So how can you help??? Well Trev is putting a partnership together. He is looking for people to put some money together, have a good time and bring through up and coming racers. This is an awesome oppurtunity for businesses and the like. Ofcourse companies will have signwriting on the GSX-R. For further details please PM myself (Two Smoker).

    Cheers, Chris

so true, so true. It hit home when he said that if i could do 1:07's on my r6 he would buy me a round... at which point i thought - im never going to do 1:07's on my r6.

Good stuff Chris! All the best and I'm sure you'll do well and give those F2 boys a big suprise!! Glad you're finally up there doing it on a competitive machine and on behalf of all us smalltime F3 racers thanks for finally getting out of our class and improving our future finishing positions by one spot!!

Well done Chris - and Trev.

Chris you couldn't have found a more genuine chap to look after you. Trev's a great guy

Like Enigma said - Do us proud

By the way - I'd like to buy an autographed poster of you (whenever you get around to making them) showing us your knee down skills or winning some race.

Hey everyone, picked up the bike today and had a little squirt at Pukekohe... Absolutely wicked bike, but still getting used to the power (much more than my 600) and the shift pattern (yoshimura footpegs mean only race pattern can be used)... Looks like if i dont lose my licence i will be racing the 600 at Paeroa... First time racing a 600 and first time on the track..
