Thumbs up Victoria Motorcycle Wreckers Australia

Great service from Keith at Victoria Motorcycle Wreckers.

    email: vicwreck@iinet.net.au

He didn't even charge for postage.

Much better than the animals we get here . Especially the ones in Lower Hutt that quote one price and then charge $10 more.

yea keiths a good un alright, got a few TL parts off him and some braided lines only got the wrong length so he sent the right length over free of charge and told me to just keep the other one, mint.
Personally i haven't had any decent dealings with wreckers over here, stuffed around, bullshited too, Metropolitan Wreckers in Oz are bloody good too, no problems taking my bizzo over the ditch.

I've also dealt with Keith before. He's a top notch bloke to do business with, despite the fact that he's an ocker.

I have only dealt with a couple of dismantlers recently, so this comment is localised to my experience, but the general attitude of these NZ ones is that if they even suspect you need the part urgently, the price is suddenly not the price written on the item.

I went to get some bits for the FZR thou a couple of years back, and experienced this phenomenon, so went to another wrecker, and made conversation as though the FZR was a second bike, and a fixer upper, and suddenly the shelf price started falling, so it pays to act very very casual, and be like "oh while I am here, do you have any?....), dont use phrases like "oh thank the good Lord you have one", and "great!, I have had trouble finding one of these".
I found prices lower in winter too.
Truth be told, the FZR was a second bike fixxer upper, but I wanted to ride it that weekend to Taupo, so I did need the bits in a hurry.

Look at it from the wreckers angle too.
NZ - Population 4 mil or so
Oz - Population 20 mil or so

The NZ guys are struggling to find customers some days, and will need to harvest every cent to keep their business afloat.

I guess all is fair in love and war.

Yep these guys are very good from what I have heard. A mate of mine smashed his '01 Blade into a million pieces a couple of years ago with no insurance (had lapped on 2 days before the accident). He bought everything through them then got it custom painted like a 954 Blade. He highly recommends them for price and service.

Yep. Got a set of forks for my FZR when I crashed it a couple of years back.

    Great price, great service.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I would back them up as well. Always great service and usually have anything you need.
You know you had a good nite when you have to ask someone if you had a good nite.
