I used to know an Aussie guy who came over with a Falcone (at 100% deposit he wasn't going to bring a big Guzzi or Duke) It was the very last Falcone with a red frame and white tank.We used to ride around the place together, and the performance of the 2 bikes was very close, surprisingly the BSA felt ''revvier'' than the Falcone,it was more of a slogger....timmed down Merimeri at 25 secs.

It also took more oomph to start the M20 than a B31,even with high comp pistons and Goldie cams I could start a B31 with my hand, the M20 took a real serious lunge, but was still a good starter.Low speed running was also not as good as the OHV bikes, that porting layout was not good at flowing anything....on the road it lost speed very quickly on hills,to 35mph,and stopped there....it could tow a Cadillac to Wellington at that speed.
