Chain it up, and don't let anyone touch or feed it but you.

When you go out let it off the chain.....

We've got an 11 year old Dalmation that farts. *sigh*

The best dog we ever had was a well bred German Shepherd - champion stock. A magnificent beast - He wasn't that easy to train just btw, but it always made good decisions with the kids and 'protecting' them.

The hair and the mountains of turd put me off another one.

Never had one, and all the ones I've known have been placid dogs, but i never quite trust a doberman IYKWIM. It's that look in the eye - or lack of it.

Yes. "Polled" cattle are those without horns. Either because the horns have been removed, or because the beast was born hornless, as some breeds are (Aberdeen Angus being one, I believe).

Polled cattle are those that genetically do not produce horns. The poll gene is a recessive trait that has been carefully selected for in some breeds -- most famously the Polled Angus, for which there is now no horned form. Merely lopping the horns off or bud-burning young cattle makes them hornless, not polled.
