Buying a Tourer, advice and suggestion needed

    Hi All
I'm in a position to buy a Tourer for comfortable 2 up riding and the bike in my mind is a New Yamaha FJR1300.
Any other bike I should consider?
Requirements are: Fast, no twins and no wings, quite, not too heavy, comfortable sitting position for both, plenty of storage, windscreen, good corning ability.

Below is my current 2 wheel fleet and it's purpose
Cruiser - Honda Rune (weekend solo bike)
Street Bike - Honda Hornet 900 (everyday commuter bike to work)
Dirt Bike - Honda CR125 (fun in the Farm)
Mission bay wheel - Segway i167 (Save my energy runnig the Dog)
Tourer - ...........(weekend 2 up touring bike)

Any suggestion and input would be really appreciated

Try a Honda ST1300. At $23,000 new at your nearest Honda dealer, they would have to be one of the buys of the century so far. The only advantage offered by a considerably more expensive FJR is that they look better sans panniers.

And could you please change your text colour to black, less you earn red rep.

With that description, the only two would be the ST or the FJR, really. Hopefully Kawasaki will bring out a replacement for the GTR before long.

Unless you want to get really excited and invest in a BMW.

Not too much, around 20K mark, and never too keen on BMW
I had a K1 back in 91 and just not my Brand for bike, however I do drive a new BMW 745i

As for ST1300 - it's a Honda, I already have 3 Hondas, if I buy another Honda......... My garage looks like a Honda Showroom

2 up long distance comfort tourer

Wana have a comfortable 2 up trip with plenty of Kms covered then you will be pressed to find something to outperform the ST1300 IMHO.
