Keen on this for a 2nd bike

Okay, so here's the background. Having been absent from biking for over 10 years I got the CBR late last year. Even though it struggles to keep up with WINJA'S Street Magic, I like it and will keep it. But I also like naked bikes for various reasons. I've considered monsters, brutale, speed triple etc, but I've read the write ups and seen the K1200R and reckon it's the go. I've arranged a test ride this weekend.

Before I go and do something stupid, what's your take on these? Does anyone here own one? I want a naked bike that's a bit differant, performs, reliable but most importantly, WINJA must approve. I just couldn't stand the ridicule of another bad purchase.

That first pic looks preety cool Finn, I'll tell you what is a wicked looking naked bike and thats the new Kwaka Z1000. I was heading down the motorway yesterday and a black one came up beside me with twin aftermarket pipes on it. Looked and sounded awesome, would definitely own one.

    this
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

I've got some magazine tests at home somewhere and they all say the same thing - bloody fantastic. The early engine mapping problems have been sorted.

If Darth Vader rode motorbikes, he would ride that black one.

The race prepped ones look really cool, compared to the standard one. If you like the look of the satndard one, go for it..... Who cares what anyone else thinks.... If you like it, go for it.....

Are they handlebar wind-deflector type things on the black bike? Presumably for the aero-dynamics?

YOU SHOULD BUY ONE OF THE LAST V MAX'S IN THE OLD SHAPE , IVE ALWAYS CONSIDERED IT AS A SECOND BIKE , LOTS OF GRUNT , LOTS OF PRESENCE , THEY LOOK GOOD DRESSED UP , GREAT 2 UP , AND WITH A DECENT EXHAUST ON ARE POSSIBLY ONE OF THE BEST SOUNDING BIKES EVER , THEY LOOK AWSOME GOING SIDEWAYS

You're wrong on your first assumption but I'd tend to agree with you on the later. And for your info limey, it's the fastest naked bike in production... I think.
