In theory if it's looked after it could do lot km than that, in theory, it may of been thrashed for the last 40000 on the same oil, who knows, take somone in the know for a look at it, listen at it etc, even take it into a shop to get them to give it a once over at your expense if your're that serious about.

I assume that is Km's not miles?

I was told don't go near anything sporty with more than 50000 Km, coz it will probably have had a hard life. - Not much help to you.

I have just resurected an 89 cbr, it took a shed load of work (1 year) and money before I managed to get it back on the road.

    same deal, 50k miles.

This one had been down the road on both sides (not too hard though). the fairing had many lugs missing, cracks, and slightly out of shape.

engine: two valves knackered once sorted it ran like a dream, and in the engine no worries, it was perfect.

its brakes were seized and the front disks below the 3.5mm limit.

Rust... the frame wasn't too bad, check around the swingarm. and in the nooks and cranies of the frame.

once on the road it was awsome, power was there all the way from 0 to ?00

If it is the yellow one on trade me then it looks like you will get a much better buy than the guy who bought mine off me

    Arrow Its a Honda.

i.e. reliable. Anything else and it would be rooted

Most CBR6's are in Miles. (Well except for the Jap ones with the 180k speedo).
