I had mine re-bored to 820 (I think) and I reassembled the top end myself.
For some reason I didn't seal the rubber stoppers under the cam holders as I have done every other time (they've hardened a bit with age as they do) and they predictably leaked.
So I took it all apart after prolly less than 100ks and have never got around to putting it back together again.
    One day.
Then I've got the B50 that I pulled apart...................

Well here is an observation from a long time rider.

I brought a new set of GENUINE YAMAHA kevlar/cordura riding gear. It matches my R1. I have retired my old leather jacket to a hanging display (in the hall cupboard) for use on slow ride days (its 25 years old so the stiching is weak now). My one piece is covered in crash damage from years gone by. My zip together 2 piece is for really fast days and trips to Akaroa.

Do poeple think i am a poser? A new rider? Rich? A snob? A poof?

Just because my gear is nice and tidy when i am out doesn't make me any of those things. I just like the look and feel of newish gear. I feel safer and that makes me faster and safer.

Those HOG riders were all about 45-65 i would guess. Does that mean that they should all use their old gear even though they have replaced it recently when they financed their new ride? Several shops help riders into new gear when they buy a NEW bike.
Let me ask --- Did you get offered a discount on a new helmet when you brought your last NEW bike from a shop? Did you take them up on the offer? Do you use the new lid on your bike? Are YOU a poser?

Guess I'm a poser cos I bought a Joe Rocket overseas and I'm damn proud of the fact that I am highly unlikely to see someone else in the same jkt... same goes for my Alpine Stars... bought overseas and not a style that is stocked here. The last time i was in a Bike Shop I was asked if I had had it specially made!

sounds a bit like 75% of the riders I know...and a lot of them aint on HDs
and yeah of course the other 25% are wearing race leathers.
Altho in reality, just how much choice is there anyway? Its either black leather or coloured leather, isn't it?

forgetting all the wooses in their cordura of course!!

The Joe Rocket is Black, Silver and White with front zip, and it is a girls jkt so it fits nice. The Alpine Stars is Silver and very girly with hard-to-describe kind-of plaited bits, not tassles but as close to as an AS jkt would ever get... Both have protective armour also...

Yeah, as per my post earlier, there was one other, a bit different to mine (after all, I bought MY one at Sturgis -sniff, snifff!!) and as B.B. says, there's a few in this country, quite a few are printed on t-shirt type material that pulls over your head like a sleeve.

But how many skull mask wearers also wear tassles eh?
