Definitely shouldn't be abbreviated. My gosh we are a bunch of deviants.

I'll post up a thread sometime this week about going for a ride, I'm pretty busy sorting everything out right now but maybe next weekend?

I'm guessing we're all huddled around heaters here in Dunedin?

Not interested in a ride myself in this blurdy weather. I don't envy the guys away at the March Hare....

Oops sorry have been really busy lately so havent had the chance to even get onto the computer to organise a ride!!! Yeah this weather sucks. I'm glad to have a nice warm jacket... and an electric blanket... but the frickin heater in my room doesnt work!

How about a wee blat around the hills tomorrow (Sunday)? As long as the weather is decent...

Oh and before I forget, where's the best place to go to for servicing? My brake light doesn't go on when I pull the front brake lever (still works with the back) and I don't have the means to try and fix it myself.

I don't think there's any bike service places up the Uni end of town, they are all at the south end of the city. I get all my servicing done at Honda Otago in Princes Street, they are pretty good to deal with. If you need some tools to fix it yourself I can probably help out.

The forecast is not too good for tomorrow, but let's see what happens in the morning. I'm willing to get out for a quick blat if there's no horizontal rain / hail.

I'm third year Uni. Ride a blue Suz GN250 (without an exhaust silencer at the moment, so it sounds badass). Live close to uni so no need to ride there to lectures.

I'd be keen for a ride some day when it's not freezing, as long as the pace is within a 110km mark, as I'm on a learners and am riding a GN.

I took a ride out the coast yesterday (Sat 04 March) and shit was that scary. Those roads are horrible! Man hole covers, paint and gravel on every second corner! Two buses had a minor head on too!

You sound like you're in a hall bigbadwolf, how are you finding it?

Yup I'm in Aquinas, way up on the hill lol. It's a half hour walk from campus which kinda sucks. But the people there are really nice so I'm enjoying myself!

And yeah I'd probably be keeping the speed down on our rides because I'm on a 250 as well, doesn't particularly like high speeds but not too bad as it's a V-Twin rather than a single. Doesn't sound too much like a sewing machine like other 250's tho...

I usually park under the Archway lecture theatres, if you see me there then come say hi!

Went for a drive with Ken (Virago) today (thanks for that, was good to meet you!) and we'll probably organise a big ride in about 2 weeks if the weather is good.

Nice to meet you too Clark. Sorry the drive around got a bit disorganised! But I hope you got a better "lay-of-the-land" and some ideas for some local rides.

Yes, a slow-to-medium speed ride in a couple of weeks would be great. We've got a few riders here on learners licence, so this would suit the majority. Who else would be in?

yeah i've got a decent circuit sorted for dunedin now, start somewhere in town, or near uni, whatever suits, go out to st kilda, just to get warmed up, nice cruise along john wilson drive, back over, past st clair, then up through the twisty backroad to caversham, through the 80k zone to blackhead, and around to green island, then out to Mosgiel, (you can see where this is going) through mosgiel and a quick blat over three mile hill, then maybe around the backroads of ross creek if it's dry (to slippery if it's wet) takes less than an hour, but heaps of fun
