What the f*%k was the car driver doing slamming on the anchors and swerving across the biker's path???
I've watched it a couple of times and it looks like the driver sped up, got too close to the car in front and slammed on the anchors.
Anyone else got a better analysis?
It looks totally irrational, and consequently, totally typical of a large percentage of cars drivers on the road - no consideration for the 2-wheeled road users. Let this be a lesson to the rest of us.

Looks scarily similar to what happened to a work mate of mine a few weeks ago. He was coming back from hanmer and the 4x4 going in the other direction locked up everything and spun just like that car into his lane. If you go out to hanmer you can still see the skid marks on the road. Lucky my work mate was in a cage going pretty slowly and hauled on the anchors. Still contacted pretty hard. He came out all right, but his wife and kids were in hospital for a few days - no premanent damage thankfully.

This has already been posted, on the other post there's a link to a forum where the rider posts about the crash.

last year I was going to work, it was dark, the moon was bright.....whoops get back on tract GB, Wolf get out of my head!!!, had just come of Bridge and heading towards Fanshawe exit.....I was in 2nd lane following a 4x4....this twit in the 3rd lane ie to continue on motorway, suddenly and without indication splits in front of 4x4....4x4 locks up, I thought he was going to hit but 4x4 ends up spinning and sliding broadside in front of me.....eek.......4x4 stops across my lane and 1st lane....I stopped about a foot from his door.......staying cool and watching what was happening helped but despite the fact that I was that close to the 4x4's door he didn't even know I was there....near miss was not his fault but makes you wonder.........

Looks like the car swerved on purpose?! They must of pulled a hard right-hand down to do that surely?

What were all those people doing… “farkin give me some space”.
