    Kiwi Bike Insurance

Twas the time when the annual sinsurance bill be due on my motormacycle. So I traversed the tinternet looking for some companies specialising in bicymakewl insurance, and found this company:

www.kiwibike.co.nz (shit ye not Spank - snot quite the same URL as KB).

I flicked them an email requesting a quote, and I spoke with a lovely lady named Donna, wife of the man they call Dave me thinks

Knocked $500 off my existing annual bike premium they did, with quality service to boot.

    Recommended.

I notice their 3rd party is only up to $100k. Lots of cars around that are worth more than that!

But it seems fairly unlikely that a bike is going to write off a whole car.

    One would hope.

    Insurance

The man is Dave Hewer who with his brother Kerry do a lot of motorcycling. Last I saw them they had a V-Max & Honda hornet. Very competitive as is Classic motorcycle Insurance in Hamilton.

It's for that reason that I originally discovered Kiwi Biker -- I was checking out deals for my soon-to-be-acquired ZRX1200R.

Uncanny, Hitcher, that's exactly what happened to me! They gave me the best price for insuring my recent purchase (ZX12R) which I expected to cost an absolute fortune to insure. Dave took the time to *talk* to me which was most welcome and quite unusual nowadays. Excellent service, good rates. Highly recommended! And I stumbled on KB too!

Underwritten by Swan, I think. Haven't made a claim yet so can't comment. Service is excellent otherwise.

They're brokers for a handful of insurers. They'll sell you the policy that works best for you and your bike. I'm with Swann.

Dave & Donna are awesome to deal with.
I even got a small check back from them for $40 because they over quoted the premium, along with a phone call to apologise for the mistake.
I doubt any others would have done that! I like dealing with someone who actually rides and really know what we need.

Yea i used them when i got the GSXR, i went through my history and they didn't hang up on me thats a first, good history though honest.
Was very good $1300 a year and i'm in the highest risk most laugh at, i had to pay $2400 for my GSXR600 with Swan.
Havent had a claim experiance, but my years up soon, alas the GSXR is a race bike now so wont be re nrewing just yet, but if i get back on the road or buy another road bike i will use Kiwibike for sure, they are great to deal with indeed, seems weird it's taken this long to surface on these parts
GSXR wiping the shit that is that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki off the road since '85'
