    Cool New helmet tomorrow!

Brimming positively with excitement I am. My new Shoei XXL Diabolic arrives tomorrow. My bike deprivation nears an end. Eight weeks, one day, five hours, four minutes since That Day In Bulls, I can see the carrot at the end of the tunnel. I shall wear Mr Shoei's finest to bed tomorrow evening and dream happy biker dreams.

Now all I need is my STeed...

I still think I need to go into the helmet distribution business. More than seven weeks to get a new lid (OK, I could have got another black one overnight) is a bit slack really.

You, I suspect, are probably one of the majority that has a "normal" sized head. For those of us at the "fuller-headed" end of the bell curve, choice becomes somewhat limited. In fact if it wasn't for Mr Shoei, I couldn't ride a motorcycle, as no other manufacturer makes a fullface helmet that fits. Or, if they do, they don't make these available to their New Zealand distributors.

I am often envious of you pinheads who whack on endlessly about the subtleties between Sharks and Arais. You don't know how lucky you are.

But I am also lucky. My new lid turns up tomorrow. And, subject to the requisite amount of sucking-up on my part, I hope to be riding shortly afterwards!

    Don't bend over.
    Thinking happy thoughts......
Has it really been that long?? Guess it passed slowly for you, tho?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Bugger. And I was a little tiny bit annoyed they didn't have a XL in stock to start with.

I'm not too impressed with helmet availablity at the mo'.
It's not just Shoei either. Did the fact that summer is biking season come as a surprise to some of our importers?

I'm looking at either getting the RX7 Corsair, or a cheaper Nitro Helmet. I want something that will handle going around the 200kmh mark as my current helmet isn't very aerodynamic.

Good news Hitcher, it'll surely be worth the 'forced' wait!
