    I saw, I saw... gulp... I saw...

Coming along Rotongaro rd to day - coming around a corner I saw a tank! It was going fast, and when I waved to the driver he waved back.

I guess I've been a bit stessed at work lately, but I didn't really expect halucinations during the day.

It's funny when you see them aye? We saw 5 of them on the road between National Park & Wanganui on Tuesday. They waved back too! Very impressive : )

Well, at least he waved back. You're always complaining that sprotsbikes don't wave t'ya. Are you sure it wasn't just a full dresser Harley?

Well naturally. Like calls unto like and all that. Obviously they waved back cos they thought you were another tank, camoflaged.

    tanks

hey Motu, last time we did a fight club ride and stopped at Ruawaro hall, saw a bloody great tank driving around in the paddock opposite the hall.

and today coming back from hams saw one on a 8 wheeler transporter.

Uprising ? peoples revolt ? or the vintage machinery rally coming up ?

Hm - on reflection I think I'll take careful note of this. I think a wise man might make a habit of giving way to such traffic - no matter what!

There was a article as a part of 'human interest minute' that every goddamn news show seems to have these days *breathe* where some guy in NZ (cant remember where) owns two tanks and drives them around on his large property. One was a Scorpion I think (and a Legionaire or something?). His Dad drove the other one.

Sounds a bit 'Deliverance' to me. Maybe someone in the 'Tron then?

I didn't see the article but if you'd been at the Woodstock rally at Hokitika you prolly would have seen them.

He is over on the West Coast and has got a Centurion Main Battle tank and I'm not sure what the other is if you check the Woodstock thread you can see the pics but neither of them is a Scorpion
