It's all been said alot so far, doesn't stop best wishes for your and your bike's quick recovery.

Like Sparky Bills, I've been there too. Partial tears Medial and Collateral, complete rupture of ACL, partial of PCL.

Hurts like hell, from what I recall. The hardest thing about lateral ligament damage is they make you wear a cast for a while (well they did for me) and your leg is about the size of your lower arm when it comes off.

Take the time to heal and get back to physio as quick as you can. I did the laterals first, came back to rugby after three months, but it wasn't enough time and the Cruciates took the brunt of it - I needed a full reconstruction which is a bitch to recover from and still gives me gip on left corners when I try to hang off - the knee just doesn't really like to support the weight when it's bent.

So put your feet up, forget about the bike for a few days - you've got some help at home, haven't you?

I did in the side ones.... front and back are ok..
I am wearing a brace to support the knee as I cant weightbare any weight on it... (Partial tears Medial and Collateral)

All I can say is Morphine is really fantastic stuff.....
Thats all worn off now and now feeling the knee so time to start kicking in with the painkillers and anti-inflam's...
Amazing how the brain dont tell the one good leg to move when you are on crutches... especially in the middle of the night....

No driving my car for at least a week either... so housebound for that duration...

To those that sent PM's to me... cheers.. I will be back in contact with you.
