    Cool

I had a cr*p night with my leg... so resting up today...
I think the knee specialist might have overdone the pulling and prodding of the knee yesterday. So back on the painkillers for today... and the ice..
Nothing like hobbling around at 6.30am to find the ice pack after being in pain since 5am. I ain't giving up them crutches just yet either.

My home care cleaner is coming back in today. She was a whirlwind last week.... one hour last week and one hour this week.. I was told I was getting 2 hours per week. The supervisor was supposed to come in to do a check and chat to me at the beginning of the week... but as usual no show from that person. I have it on paper that I get two hours per week.. and then I get accessed at the end of this week.

I tell you, you just dont get what your supposed to get these days...

Cheers gals and guys for all your well wishes...:spudwave:

Lias - Yeah I really wanted to go and do the Cambridge Toy run this year. So I am now booked in to do it next year.

Scorpygirl and markauckland - I am whittling it down real fast...

    Thumbs up

    Latest update:

Big thanks to Motoracer (Sudeep) for his wonderful help

This dude has come over here to my home on a few occassions now and pulled off broken bits and then taken away my front mudguard and plastic welded it back together for me... and then had it resprayed metallic black for me. Motoracer also came back over to make sure that I had put everything back on correctly (phew).
On his third trip back here he has just brought the front mudguard back to me this morning and we have reassembled it back on.
Wohoo my bike is whole again.

Oopsie, we still have no idea what those two washer thingee's are meant to go on... on well nothing has rattled loose since I have ridden it...

Beers coming your way mate... you are wonderful bloke.

Thanks to markauckland for popping around to check out my bike for me not long after my accident.

Thanks also to Ixion for coming over to check out my handlebars and assertaining that it wasn't my handlebars but in fact it was one handlebar 'riser' that was bent. Cheers mate.

Thanks to View Rd Panel/paint, Henderson for whacking my headlight rim and headlight little clips back into shape for me.... they saved me heaps of dollars. Cheers to them.

Thanks to Henderson Motorcycles Ltd for whacking my headlight bracket back in to the right shape as well. Cheers Todd.
Also they sent off my wheels to get the back wheel respoked (as two broke 2 weeks prior to the accident) and 'trued' up my front wheel.
The bike feels sweet again out there on the roads.

Thanks to my daughter and my friends ,that have picked me up and driven me to the Dr's, hospital, Knee Specialist and also to physio... with out their help I would have been stranded at home.
They also took me foodshopping... well a gal has to eat....lol.

Cheers to those of you that sent me pm's etc.... they helped cheer me up.

Cheers to Scorpygirl for popping out to chat to me after I had seen my knee specialist.. even thou she does like to yell out from her work window... hehehe

As to what is happening to the police.... well they have been and taken a statement (2 weeks ago)... and now I am waiting to see what they write in their report.
I have since received a not so nice letter from the other person's insurance company.. demanding payment over 2 grands worth.... they were very politely told to cease contact with me until the police report was finalised.

As to me and my injuries. I go to physio twice a week now (was 3 times a week) and have heaps of exercises to do.
I'm not allowed to ride long distances yet etc as the knee doesnt like it...
After a couple of days back on the bike, I then spent two days with it up on the stool with a ice pack on it almost the whole time.
    Lesson learnt.

But I am so pleased to be back riding again.... and as usual I will be doing it at a nana's pace.. well I am after all the queen of slow on the bikes.

Update: I have finally received a letter today in the mail from the police...

Ok it was dated the 16th September but it took until 3rd October to reach my letterbox... go figure that one....

So the accident happened on 16th Feb 2006 and I get a letter from police dated 16th Sept 2006

Police have found your vehicle to be at fault; however no charges will be laid.
A warning for "Failing to stop in length of lane visible' has been issied and no further police action is required.

    Etc etc etc etc

So now it looks like the other parties insurances are gonna come after me...
and so I have rung my insurance company... the paperwork is heading my way.... they are going to be looking into a few things at there end for me.

Oh the bill for the damage to their car, a 1997 Nissan Sunny, was supposedly $2,124 and I only just clipped the side of it.

Sorry to hear that Crashe. Still at least you didnt get fined, I suppose. Hope the Insurance can sort it out quickly. Sounds like the other party might have got other stuff repaired that was not part of your accident!!! HMMMMM!!!

Hell man, not good! What I did when I had a head on with a Mazda 323 was when thier insurance co sent me a bill of $5000.00, I took it to the lawyer he told me to do nothing and it would go away. If you have already made contact with them, youre screwed.

I never made contact with them at all....

It was them who rung me a few days after my accident..
and then I have have had a few letters from them - one of those letters demanding the money from me.

I replied back to that letter telling them politely to go away as no decision had been made.

Now a decision has been made........ hence me contacting my insurance company.... they will deal with them from now on should they make contact with me again...
