    Circut racer who's your fav?

Mick doohan for me followed closely by Barry Sheene. Riders from the mid 80's through to now with the likes of King Carl, Wayne Rainey, Wayne Gardner and so on, there are so many , would be interesting to read your thoughts, maybe a New Zealander may get the nod ......

Kevin Schwantz or Eddie Lawson. 1st equal.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

From racers that I've seen, Kevin Schwantz, then Valentino Rossi, Mick Doohan, Wayne Rainey (loved the battles him and Schwantz had).

Yes Kevin only won one World Championship, and that was the year of WR's accident (I think from memory Kevin was in a good position to win the championship anyway), but the way he rode that RGV. No one else could control it, and even for him it was a win or bin affair. Amazing to watch.

Read a quote by Wayne Gardner recently. Upon hearing that Eddie Lawson was retiring from GP's Wayne responded by giving him the midde finger and saying "Fuck off and don't ever come back!" Such was Wayne's personality.

    Arrow I'll go the underdog.

And although he is now on a Suzuki. I'll say Chris Vanmulan(sp).

Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.

I'd have to say the peeps i enjoy watching race:

    1. Simon Crafar - he da man on the ZX7R and that race at Donnington on the YZR was just awesome to watch
    2. Nori Haga & Chris Walker - you can tell these two are on the limit.
    3. Rossi is good, no doubting that, like it when he qualifies shit and comes through the group, reckon he's not going to have it all his own way next season.
GSXR wiping the shit that is that Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki off the road since '85'

defiantly haga, es one of those crazy nutters that very really fall off even though hes bumping into the leaders back tyre.
I'm pretty sure i heard that just about all the bikers from WSB said that haga was the one that scared them the most because he would just about do anything to pass
Well what would you do? Run through the streets stark naked at 350 miles per hour with bells on your toes?

    For me its Freddy Spencer.

There is a photo of him I have in a book and an early '80s "Cycle" magazine. The shot is black and white, taken from behind, to his right and slightly above. the corner is an "S" bend, and he has just started to turn left. When you see his front wheel it is cocked over, and is leaving a black stripe on the tarmac. He isnt crashing, thats the way he cornered the thing!! If you look you can see all the others he did on EVERY lap of the circuit !!! !!!

    Unbelievable.

Kenny Roberts said of him when asked about his riding style "He didnt have a style, he jsut coped"... still pissed off about that last lap pass in 87?

Second is Rossi: Until he retires, he OWNS this sport....

Agostini: same but in the 60's

Hailwood: I wish I was as tidy as him....

followed by the 80's pantheon: Lawson, Rainey, Roberts, Schwantz, Mamola...

I really enjoyed the Kim Newcombe film also.... so he is in the list.

I have a dvd on Barry Sheene and it features Randy Mamola they must of had a real love/hate in a friendly kinda way thing going on. At a meet somewhere in europe the two were swapping leads throughout the race and on a left hander Sheene was on the outside of Mamola and reached out with his left hand to grab Mamola's right foot, Mamola kicked, as you would, all this at at whatever speed they were doing...........
