Proposed 80kph limit on Coastville Riverhead Hwy

I note a letter in our local paper that the local council is seeking (and seems to be getting) support from Transit ad whoever else to amke the Coatesville Riverhead highway an 80kph speed limit.

AAARRRRGGGHHHH!. My fav bit of road - so much fun, at 80!

    Stupid rule makers!!!

The sooner this bunch of, run your life for you, rule makers are out of office the better.
That goes for all their lookalike wannabies in local government too! John. (F*ckin socialists, I hate them)

I usually don't see too many cops on that road though, maybe the occasional one at riverhead with his laser out but thats about it. Still, it would suck to lose your liscence for anything over 120km/h.

They've been talking about reducing the speed limit on that road for ages.

I can just about manage that on one wheel.. I'll get better tho.

Lower speed limits give me more time to practice my wheelies. Please think of this when lowering the speed limits.
And also, please pay for more tyres for me. I also need more traffic lights, cos my power-wheelies-from-stand-starts are coming along too.

I think they should reduce it on all open roads to 80, this would result in better fuel consumption, therefore reducing New Zealands oil usage.

Agreed, and revert the roads back to gravel. This will reduce road usage and slow down traffic even further.
