Ok, now heres my two cents in the works.

Imdying, I see your point, its a good point and maybe some of us will take heed of throwing keys away or kicking car doors. Its not worth all the extra hassel of courts, personal injury, fines and the worry that the peson may have well got Rego and will be coming to hunt you down.

JWALKER, I see your point in why you would do the same thing, hell I would do the same.

Imdying, that newbie on the ride was MissSniper. Im not saying that that justifies my actions of leaving a dent in his arse end when he overtook us dangerously, or the fact that he may very well come after me for the damages, Im saying that if anyone puts myself or my loved ones in danger, God help them. The Lexus got the idea after overtaking JWALKER on a blind corner and ended up 2 feet away from MissSnipers back tyre that doing this was OK. I hope that arsehole learnt a damn good lesson in tailgating, and if I could prove that I won't stand for some arsehole driving dangerously, well good on me.

Yeh fair enough - everyone is entitled to their opinion.
The way I see it, for every action - you get a reaction. His tailgating signalled to me he was after something, maybe some abuse, maybe a fight - who knows? He will surely think twice next time. His mates will too as you never know who is under the helmet.

I've nothing against you being a hero, if that's what turns you on. Do it against a car, and you're quite likely to end up flattened. You'd have felt like a right cock if he'd flattened the three of you because of your actions. You're misguided if you think you're protecting your family with actions like that, you're actually endangering them.

And as for 'God help them', ponder Romans 12:19 for a moment; 'Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"says the Lord.'

how dare you!. what right do you to throw a scripture?, i know what romans says very well.yes gods wrath is his,but this isnt the time or the place to go into that.
also imdying, i didnt actually touch the car at all, or do any damage to it, i was just venting about the dangerous driving.

man, that is a bit hard to answer. but, to be honest all i remeber thinking was im not going to be able to pass this guy safely before i hit the corner, so i will have to drop the bike. i rermebrer thinking about doing it and then remeber just leaning over and just dropping to the ground, i honestly dont remeber the inital impact, and then i was tumbling along the ground and remeber something someone said about not trying to get up until, i had fully stopped. that is all i remeber about it.

Correct Imdying, in the eyes of others I may have done wrong to lash out in anger. But put yourself in my shoes, whould would you have done if your partner/wife/best friends were in danger?

As for the quoted scripture. I used to be a real big follower mate so I know where that comes from, but I have been places and seen things that makes me wonder where God is these days. So scripture won't have any impact on me what so ever.

You made the implication in another thread, and this thread, that you damaged his car. I don't feel guilty in assuming that's what you did, you quite plainly wanted people to make assumptions.

You yourself 'brought God into it', if you didn't want to know what He thinks of your actions, you shouldn't have mentioned Him.

If my loved ones were in danger, I would do the best I could to minimise that danger, not increase or encourage it

Bikes == small, cars == big, it's a mantra to live by. Let him go past, *555 him, get his address from the Post Office and confront him later, by all means, but taking the fight to the road only risks the saftey you're trying so hard to protect.

I see what you are saying and I respect your veiwpoint. "God help them" is a phrase I use, its not a genuine prayer for them.

Yes I did damage his car as I thought it was the right thing to do at the right time. There was a 50/50 chance that it could have gone wrong, and I liked my chances

Although it may have put myself at risk, I see what you are saying that it could have put others at risk too. My stupid mistake, but I still would have done the same if I was by myself.

Not quite right and a little bit outdated, cos if that wog did that to another wog while riding his Ducati around Rome, he would've smacked him in the mouth and then launched his keys.

On the legal note, I've had a chat to an officer about this and you're LEGALLY allowed to split lanes between "parked" cars at traffic lights. Why? Because they're parked!

JWalker - a note on not getting up from an arsing off until you stop moving - sometimes ya need to. If you can hear the sqeal of cage brakes right behind you, it's a good time to get up and go. I once performed such a feat while tumbling on a California freeway, hearing the loud squeal of multiple cars soon got me fup and diving off the motorway well before I'd stopped rolling!

PS - handguns are legal - but you gotta jump through hoops to own one legally

true, fair enough call. i will keep that in mind. fortunatly i didnt have to try to. a guy i was talking to that has ridden for lots years, said you can do alot of damage if you try and get up while you still have momentum while tumbling, thats why i didnt try too. but, i think the sound of squealing tyres might prompt me too
