As one of the youths mounts the bike and starts to ride away, you confront them...
After some not-so polite words being thrown back at you, a girl in the group who is 6ft tall and weighs 1.5 times the amount you do (she would be 100kg, a big girl) throws a punch at your face.

A difficult question. It was once axiomatic that a gentleman never raised a hand to a lady no matter what the provocation. But times change, and the liberated female of today is hardly the lady of yesterday. I am inclined to think that a female who actually throws a punch can scarely be termed a lady, and might more properly be described as a termagant, who has forfeited the considerations normally due to the gentler sex. In such case restraint by whatever means is appropriate may be justified.
