I have to find out cost of parts for the Impulse but it may be back on the agenda. I spoke to the young fella in question (still at school) and he bought it thinking it was a 250 and in a lot better condition (without Ma and Pa's approval) He can't afford and doesn't know how to fix it. I'm thinking I may bid or offer something a bit lower than what he wants and let him sit to see what happens....? Got ahold of 'Buckets and Bits' to see what the gauges will cost....

I'm with Weasel, most of these bikes are dogs, buy in a price range where you get a registered, wof'd bike from someone that seems honest. Your trying to buy a bike that if in good condition would be around 2k. Unless you are really lucky and can inspect before buying you are probably going to get burned.

I agree that you should out your money away and wait for that deal to come along.........
2500 will get you a decent bike to start off with
Either of these bikes could end up costing you just that

Seen this one ? WoF and Reg, stated to run well, bit cosmetically challenged and price looks about right. They were a pretty tough old bird as I recall, should be good for a few years yet.

What is it with people who only put one photo up? I mean it's five for the price of listing, so surely you get best value by using them.

Looks ok. Reg and WOF at least. Ask a few questions (like when the wof expires). See if you can get some pics of the other side.

Those last couple of bikes are looking much better than the first few

That slingshot has HUGE ks on it thou, I think with no service history you'd want someone to check it mechicanically

GSX is a sports tourer. They are made to eat up the Kms. 111000 isn't so bad. It more depends on the overall mantainance/Services doesn't it.
