Remember to never split an infinitive. The passive voice should never be used. Do not put statements in the negative form. Proofread carefully to see if you words out. And don't start a sentence with a conjugation. (William Safire)
Very true, I just thought it was a funny picture of everyones favourite alien.
Back on topic, I also remember another old school movie with bikes in it called Delta Force...starring Chuck Norris.
"Turning your back to an enemy is ok so long as your bike shoots mortars out of it’s exhaust pipes".
Sorry, forgot the pic to back it up. These things would be ace to take out tailgaters!

Motorbike Camping for the win!
The Motorcycle Diaries is supposed to be worth watching, can anyone recommend its viewing?
Off the cuff:
Terminator 2, Arnie on his Harley doing jumps off bridges.
Mission Impossible 2, Tom (that poser eh Indy) on his Speed Triple capturing him in slow motion elegance as he twists sideways on his motorcycle, riding on just one tire. He pivots, aims his gun, and fires while a car slides past him.
iRobot, Will blasting his archaic MV into the enemy of rouge robots.
Matrix Reloaded, the mighty black Duke easily evading the enemies.
Isn't it interesting how most modern blockbuster movies feature at least one *cool* motorcycle doing high speeds/stunts and subsequently turn it into a smouldering pile of rubble, how sad.![]()
Avoid "Murdercycle" at all costs. The title implies cheesy hilarity but the entire film just made me sad.Originally Posted by Jonty

Where's Indy and his tribute to the Cooler King?

Steve will make that jump one day, you just have to watch the film enough times...
There is a new "bike" movie being made in the UK "Freebird". It's a fictional story about three motorcycle couriers on a weekend trip to Wales with a load of marijuana.
Since it apparently makes several references to Quadrophenia, and one of the actors (Phil Daniels) is in both, it would seem appropriate to watch the mod movie first.

ooooh, but doesn't it drive you nuts when the kids xr in Term 2 makes two smoke noises!Originally Posted by Zed
Never understood why they bother having mics on their gear when filming if the foley artists are going to dub over the sounds later. They did a similar thing in Spiderman when "Flash" Thompson turned up in his new wheels and took MJ for a spin - the engine noise is from a completely different car.Originally Posted by larriken
Fair enough if the vehicle is the Batmobile and they want it to sound like some weird prototype or they've set it in the future and they want the cars to sound like they're electirc but for contemporary movies WTF is wrong with just getting some bugger to drive up in the appropriate vehicle for the image they want to convey and drive off? Why does Hollywood have to fuck everything around? "Erm, it's a trail bike, it's supposed to make this sort of noise, fix it up."![]()

Haha, yeah they do that alot in movies and ruin the true sound by replacing it with something high and tinny, obviously the movie-makers aren't real bikers lol.Originally Posted by larriken
