I'm lookin for a REALLY bumpy road!...

    Hey people,

I am currently working on my suspension setup and am looking for a really bumpy road, you know the sort that when you hit them they bounce you out of your seat. I know of a couple but they are a bit far away and the bumps on the road are hundreds of metres apart.

Does anyone know of any really bumpy roads or really bumpy patches on any roads around North Waikato or South Auck?

I have currently been testing my adjustments out on Ridge Road (Bombay) area but am wanting something a little bumpier than that. Met up with Firefight there last night to, bloody nice guy and look forward to going for a spin with him soon.

Is SH22 bumpy around by Pukekawa? I've never riden down there so I have no idea and can't be arsed going looking so if you can save me a bit of time by telling me where the rough patches are I would really appreciate it.

    Cheers!.

Once you find it let me know, I have a few "friends" I would like to put on the bike and "feel" the bounce
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Its an interesting concept setting your bike up for a type of road that you struggle to find nearby anyway.

I could find you some, but you might not like how we get there...Heatherington rd has a big bump and a few slips, try the Glen Murray/Rangariri road too.If you don't find SH22 bumpy enough take any of the side roads, some turn to gravel, but you'll get a few km down the road before you chicken out.

Yeah I can see how you would find it strange, but I want to see if the bike isn't set so soft that it bottoms out. Ive got the front compression ok as I put a cable tie around the fork and have landed a few high wheelies on the settings and it seems ok but I want to see how the rear handles a good sized bump.

Does it make sense now? :spudwhat:

Hmmm from what I have heard, 22 sounds like it might be a good place to take a look. Might go for a look after work.

    Cheers
