    Tailgating

Very rarely do I start a thread here, but this is something that really fucks me off.

Yesterday minding my own business, I approached a red light on cnr Ladies Mile and Abbotts Way heading towards Remuera Rd. Rush hour and two full lanes of parked cars. Naturally I split up the middle, waited for the green, and took off. No harm, no foul? Well the cunt in the white ute took exception and rode my ass till we come to a stop in the left turning lane on Ladies Mile heading into Remuera Rd.

I turned around and yelled muffled thru my shit helmet more or less asking what his problem was. He said something back which I couldn't understand, so curosity kills the cat - I kicked the stand down and approached his window to hear his words of wisdom - Now this is where it gets interesting....

I asked him to justify himself in playing with my life - he said I broke the law, you have to wait your turn at the lights. Ok - but why try take me down?

Now the funny part. I leaned in his window - shut off his engine - took the keys in my left hand and launched them over a house or two never to be seen again.

Now right or wrong - I feel better and I'm pretty sure he won't be tailgating any bikes for a while. Dunno how he got home, but I don't really care.

    Rant over

As long as you passed on the right, and stayed in your lane, what law did you break?

I couldnt move cos his bumper had my wheel trapped at an angle so i turned around and yelled for him to reverse. He didnt so i kicked his bonnet and moved the bike forward; I plonked the side stand down told teh fukwit he was a tard and he should come to the side of teh road.. he just took off and left.

Good on you for launching his keys

Yeh, I would have loved to brake hard, but the thought of a tonne of cage taking on 170kg's of gixxer isn't a good one. I went to his window so he had the chance to sort it out the old fashioned way. Instead he gotta game of hide go seek with his keys.

Quite right he won't, he'll just run them over instead. Nice work.

Yep, I'm with Imdying~ The driver is now going to harbour a grudge against all motorcyclists and probably escalate to doing other bad shite: Keying parked bikes, kicking 'em off their stands, speeding up when someone tries to overtake, and other dangerous stuff...

But as long as you feel better, that's all that matters

Next time tell them that it is, in fact, not illegal to filter and that they are welcome to check their road code if they don't believe you... Then throw a molotov cocktail in the window and finish their evil ways for good!
    Keep it rubber-side down...

I want to know what he did after you launched his keys. Surely he didn't just sit there doing nothing while you strolled back to your bike and rode off. I mean, he must have been right pissed with you by then. I would've thought he'd want to deck you for that. Unless you did a quick runner before he could get out of the car.

yeah he shouldn't have tailed you but all auckland drivers are fuckwits and i've seen bikes do shitty things that piss cagers off but you throw his keys over a fence when he finds those keys he's going down the post office or he will see your bike 1 day and fucking run into you just the way some dickheads are so i say speed off and leave the shitter to get hit by a truck for being a twat

That put a smile on my face.

The only thing that would have made this story better was if the police turned up and beat the soles of his feet with rubber truncheons until he couldn't walk for a week.

    I don't like tailgaters.
