Nope, the only ones we hear around this area are the rescue chopper and the ones that shoot deer.

Which one do you think it is???

Yeah it's usually GI that it hovers over, I have tried following it before a few times to no avail.

I'm up in meadowwank and unfortunately it is around GI and sometimes over here quite a bit. At least they can't give tickets eh!

When I lived in Green Bay a few years ago the chopper was a constant thing - several nights a week it would just go around and around the school with it's search light going, circling right over our house.Sometimes I'd walk or drive around the neighbourhood to see what was going on,but never saw any other Police presence, just the chopper going around and around and around and around....

Then the Greek guy was killed over in La Rosa st,about 100 metres away...and the chopper stopped coming. His house backed onto the school fields, and I think the drugs were coming in and out that way.Apparently he was a dab hand,or foot at martial arts - so they waited until he took a crap and then blew him away.

Mt Roskill gets the odd visitation too. Probably Somalian turf wars or something - or much more likely, chasing a KB'er :-) . A few days ago my house was right under their flight path as it went round and round quite low for ages.

Must be good fun up there.

Probably just another night patrolling the ghetto. Typical for that area, more than likely looking for someone from GI.

I think it's related to an armed incident last night. There was a fight and someone was either smashed with a broken bottle or something else and two cars took off. The person who called the job said a firearm was involved. The cops did an armed pull over of one of the cars but I don't know the outcome.

We normally get it flying out our way most nights/days. Theirs always shit going down in south Auckland.

Not chopper related but...we had a interesting night just before christmas, when a couple of locals decided to break into the Placemakers. They ended up getting chased by the local security crowd and decided to jump our fence. The cops (with dogs that bite) arrived ask us to open our gate and said "If anyone tries to get out through the gate can you tackle them". This is midnight pitch black. Bugger that, I'm willing to help like the next guy but I don't want a screwdriver or any other sharp piece of metal jabbed in a place I might need.
After about 15mins the cop just jumped in his car and left. Didn't say anything just left. We found out from the static guard ( The crooks broke our electric fence so we had to get a guard on site) that the cops caught them up the end of the road.
This is not a bitch at the cops, just a weird experience with one.

'Tis a jolly noisey contraption. How come we get shit about noisy bikes but that thing doesn't . How come it doesn't need a silencer ? Certainly must wake more folks up than any bike (except maybe my old Jawa )
