can you post your source?!? as the r6 should redline at 16200 but the graphs are falling a fair way short of this

yeah, yama can't rev that hard. They BS their numbers..

do we just take for granted that the higher lines are the Gixer? Or is there a legend around?

As power is dropping off at 14krpm+ then I doubt seeing it go to redline is going to change anything.
The results speak for themselves, when dynoing you won't always take the bike to redline just until the power starts to dip, which it does in the above dyno runs.
A dyno can be made to read anything though, so would like to see a few more runs on different days etc.

    my source

these runs where down in 5th gear on both bikes
Both bike hit limiter at @15,500-15,800 rpm

the r6 revs to 17,000rpm but they say there is a calbration issue and its only a 16,000rpm instead

gee certainly makes a mockery of the r6. wonder how much an aftermarket system would smooth out the r6's power delivery. it looks all over the place whereas the gixer is smooth as. hard to know how much is to pass noise/emission regulations and how much is just due to the suzy being a better engine.

ok people before flaming maybe note that I put up 16200, which is what the reports from the Merkin sites say is the revlimeter on the 06r6, not the 17500 falacy that yamaha bleated on about! this is also the rev limit that Yamah says its bike can actually do in its buy back letter issued in teh states blaming a 9% error in the Tacho, when the ECU and they knew full well the whole time exactly what revs the bike could do!

shit, are they that cheap. don't know how yamaha can justify that exhorbitant price. i see in another thread someone said you can get a brand new blade for $18k, only $500 more than an r6. Seen some run out 05 r6's for $13k, now thats a bargain.

Wow, quite suprised with the curves of the R6. A different dyno will give different numbers, but the curves will be the same and that's the most important part (ie the area under the curve).

I think they're around that.. Mt Eden has them tagged around that.. you can always barter..

    I thought new GSXR750s were about 17,000..

And it's not that they're cheap, it's just realistically priced
