So I take it that it was either your fault, or the prick ran off, given that you didn't mention insurance and you said that you'll be providing some of the parts yourself...correct?

I had a wee off on 16/2/06 and it was low speed... I now have fluid (effusion) on the knee. so make sure it really is ok.

Oh and BTW I hope that you get to hear from the cops a hell of a lot faster than me mate... Im still waiting... 10 days later... but we mustn't rush them...lol.

Post some pic's up on this thread of the bike etc etc if you can.....
Glad you can repair your bike as well.

shit, you're actually quite lucky all things considered..
go get checked out by a doc (first thing you should always do, cos some things get masked and won't show until it's way past the ideal time to get fixed up)

Hope you ain't in too much pain tho.. and hope the bike fixes up ok..

Good to see you're still able to tell us about it!

Hopefully things get sorted and recovery goes smoothly for you.

Best of luck with the repairs and healing
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

The guy was still around. Because i put my bike together from 2 bikes i didnt even think about insurance etc until my father and law asked if i had got his details. When i tryed to find out his insurance details he wouldnt tell me so that leads me to think that he doesnt have any.

Cops took statements so waiting to hear back on a decision. may end up in small claims.

don't want to post any details till its all sort etc but the guy didnt indicate and took me down. So his fault.

Had kinda thought lately what it would be like if i did hit the road and now i know. I enjoy working on the bike so thats not to bad, just the cost of the parts i dont have and replacing the helmet which will be the pain in the arse.

Will post when i'm fit enough to start work on the bike of what parts i'm after to see if there is any in circulation.

Man, he sounds like a dodgy fucker, that's pretty odd that he wouldn't give you his insurance details aye. Hopefully it won't have to go to court, for your sake.

I dunno how you took a bull bar to the leg and are still walking, but good for you mate. Hope all turns out for the best dude.
