    Stick to your guns Danb.
The police would have recorded the statement of the witness & while the event was fresh in there minds before doubts set in. They do have leads to follow and let them know that Wormald are refusing to help you.

Top marks for managing to stay upright and glad you're ok.
Don't forget to add to the bike damage list, your safety gear damage too for them to replace.

    Good luck

What a bugger. Don't let the prat off the hook. Make sure you claim on all your gear as well once they pin the arsehole.

The company is in Portage Road, New Lynn.

As you turn off Gt North Rd into Portage Rd... the company is there on the left hand side.

Good luck in sorting this out..
I'm glad to hear that you are ok.

The drivers of that company take the cars home with them at night time after work. I never see any of the cars left on the company grounds whenever I happen to go past there at night time.

My mother and I tonight went up to point view drive to see if we could see any possible cars. Sure enough a wormalds car came past and got his rego and was about the same time as well. He was going so quick by the time we got up and going he was gone!
But least this should be a step in the right direction. The car however did not look damaged so the person may have a swap car. Don’t know what make and model of car it was. Looked like a hatchback. Shall go up there again tomorrow night and be more prepared to follow him. So the witness may be right after all - all so confusing etc.... uggg

    danb,
Can you confirm Make / Model / Color? E.g look up photos of models on web and see which one it is. Right or Left headlight broken?

We'll keep an eye out for you....

Sorry to hear about this.... but I hate people like that... making the world worse bit by bit.

    Update:

Have been to the post office with the Rego of the car that we found up point view drive and it’s confirmed that it was a Holden Barina. So with a bit of luck this we have found the car that hit me.
Will keep you posted tonight after we have finished speaking to the police and whatever we do tonight.

    Update #3

Ok, Wormalds has now come clean about the accident (they rang us surprisingly) and I will be going to my insurance company tomorrow to get the process under way. I have also filed a police report now and they are going to follow this up so with a bit of luck things should be all sorted soonish.
