You've got to be pretty Special to do that, let alone in a company car. Perhaps he closed his eyes after the accident, "I can't see them, they can't see me".

DanB, keep us all up to date, hope you get a resolution quick smart.

Mate, well done on keeping it upright, from the amount of damage it sounds like you took a pretty big hit so RESPECT for keeping the thing on its wheels.

Keep on at Wormald, I hope you get some justice from them. Good thing it was a company car, otherwise you would have had no way of tracking the bastard down (as you dont have a plate no. to go on). Also dont forget to make a report to the cops, they wont do anything with it at this stage, but you may need it later on for insurance purposes or for arguing with Wormald. This needs to be done as soon as possible, I think it may need to be done within 24 hours of the accident? Mention to them that your foot is injured, as this will make life worse for the driver when you track him down.

And as Ixion said, it would pay to see a doc and file an ACC report, I remember reading Crashes comments the other day about how her foot injury got worse after her crash, not to mention that again you may need the paperwork trail further down the track. Its better to do these things now as if you dont, when you need them later on it will be too late and then it will just be your word against his (witness or no).

Good luck with it all matey.

Well since the car took off up point view drive (The witness followed him) and the witness lost him up there my uncle and I stopped at both ends of Point View Drive from 7am to see if we could get the number plate of the car. 1.5 hours later no sightings of the car unfortunately. Uncle is now going to get hold of wormalds as we speak. Cheers

If you get jerked around by Wormald, go to their parent company. They are owned by Tyco Fire and Security, an international company (see http://www.tycofireandsecurity.com.au/). They won't want adverse publicity and that will get their attention.

    Good luck

Shit, that aint cool. Fingers crossed that you find and nail the guy.

EDIT: I know it has shit all to do with me and its the best I can think of at the time, but Wormalds has an account with our company and sometimes use our vehicles. Their account now has a lock on it (with notes to get back to me to enquire as to why it's locked) and I have set a flag against their name to stop hiring cars as the are proven dangerous drivers. I have also notified most other rental car companies. Like I say, it may have nothing to do with me but I hate arseholes like that.
