Ferken nearly lost it this morning

Heading along the river road and was cruising at 100km and in the distance the lights turned green so maintained the speed .then they turn yellow, now this is where the problem started do i stop do i go through and with all that fuckin around i decided to stop....Applied the brakes and LOCK UP i am just sliding no control, i waited a second and released the brakes and the back wheel caught a spun making a schecch like a 16 year old virgin then the left fishtailed out and I thought this was it. But some how i dont know if i did it or the bike decided it wasnt time to fall over but got it back.....I was lucky the lights just turned red when i fishtailed and scheeched through them....would have been a sight for the cars waiting at the lights.
I have just had new front and back brakes put on last week so will blame them for being way to sensitive.......

any way drove on like it was planned..with my heart beating a million miles..i love it...just changed my underwear..

    Whhoaaahooo,

Must have looked real impressive alright. Shame it wasn't planed eh?
Always good when you come out the other side and all's in order and you don't need to hose out the leathers.

Might need to bed those pads in on a quiet country road.

Well done mate. Always a sphincter tightening moment when that happens, but trust me, it makes you a better rider.
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

I agree when I got the bike i would do controlled fishtails down the drive to get a feel for how the bike handled and I think it helped..didnt panic new wat the bike was doing so rolled with..not that i had a choice.
But to be honest took it easy over the takas this morning but it was Windy and Wet as Fuck so no choice really.
