You can never have too much power even if you dont use it, knowing its at your disposal is bliss

This is y I am not really interested in a 1000.

Half the fun on a bike is hearing it scream through the gears. On my 150 I can do this around town without breaking any laws. Anything over 250cc and I got to leave town. I don't suppose theres too many gears on a modern 600cc before it hits 150...

You can quite comfortably change into 6th gear going 60kmph if you want, and you can take it up to 100kmph in 1st if you want, that's how good the modern 600's are! The 1000's don't like the low speeds as much, but once you get out on the open roads or the track they prove their worth over and over again. The power of the modern 600-1000cc motorcycle is addictive - that's part of the enjoyment!!

in time you will yern for more power
once i felt the power of a big bike i never wanted to go back
its not compulsory to open it up all the time
but the feeling of the thing piviting over the rear wheel when u do open it up is very addictive
modern 1000s are very simalar to a 600 handling wise
not much heavier, but lots more power

No they're not. I find the 1000 quite different to the 750 or 600....particularly in the tighter stuff.Too twitchy on the power, turn in not as quick, rather nerve wracking at times.......... In the more open stuff - its still quite different....it just fucks off over the horizon!

In time you might also yearn for less - I've been all over the place as far as power goes,it's just never been the reason why I choose a particular bike...that's usualy based on price.I also suspect a lot of people buy a bike for the image it projects.....but you didn't hear that from me..ok?

that a 600 is quick and nimble through the corners but not enough power for the straights...

that a 1000 is hugely fast in the straight stuff but bit more of a handfull in the corners.

that a 750 is the perfect mix of the two and i own the best bike in the universe?

haha. who am i kidding, i'm not fast on the straights OR quick through the corners. i reckon i could drive a honda civic faster than i can ride my bike.
