I have the CS-12 Road fighter version and it has the clips. I bought a new CS-!2 for she who rides on the back and it has the "D" rings. Which is better? both have their good points personally i prefer the clips never had a problem with them. As for the Carbon Fibre ones I feel that they are ok but too expensive. I must be pointed out that even the cheaper versions MUST pass a certain saftey standard before being released onto the market so whether you but an expensive helmet or a cheaper one they both do teh same thing. Save your head.

They are nicely finished, but really no lighter than top spec Shoei, Arai or Nolan. A bit cheaper than the first two.
There will be graphic versions coming.
What I didn't like is the tinny ringing sound when you close the visor.

I've read somewhere that carbon actually degrades in the sun.

Most of the HJC I have seen have clips although Dangerous got one in from Oz and it had D rings,I think it depends on what market and standard they have to meet, only seen one helmet come off in a accident and it had D rings

it is (I think incorrectly) assumed that with D rings the Helmet strap will always be tightend correctly every time it is put on

I went from a clip/buckle HJC to a D-ring arai... I actually find the D-ring MUUUCH easier to do up than the buckle/clip

My CL-14 has D rings. I would not buy a helmet with clips. I have had them come undone (off road).

Got an AC10 with a clip. Has come undone on the road if incorrectly clipped in......not nice. The Arai has D rings which I prefer...

The best strap system I've seen is the micro adjuster on Nolans. It's as convienient as a clip type, but the design means that it's always tightened correctly.

I prefer the clip on my old helmet (or any helmet) over a D ring at the moment, cos I'm not used to my new lid, I sometimes do it up a bit tight..

I've got the CF helmet. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone really. I would say for the same price I would rather buy a Shark helmet. The clip seems to be fine although I haven't crashed in it. Apart from that the helmet is a bit on the noisy side althought it doesn't fog up easily. Another thing is that the chrome bits are starting to peel off on my helmet.

In terms of weight it's definitely lighter than my X-spirit even though they are both meant to be 1300g. The liner is also softer than the x-spirit so you don't get as snuch a fit. This is something i would worry about though. It doesn't actually feel lose...just not as tight.

As I said before, for around $700 i would rather buy a Shark or lower spec Shoer or Arai.

    Cheers limmy.
I'm waiting for a HJC CF helmet to come in to my local so that I can try it on.
I've been waiting for a couple of months so I'm looking forward to see what it's like.

Actually I've seen both, clips and D rings on the CL-14... maybe old stock with clips as the new AC models all seem to have D rings

Another thing about the CF helmet is that the visor is not fitted very well to the helmet so there is this gap at the top when the visor is in the down position. OK...don't worry...water doesn't get in when it's raining but what does happen is that you get the occational piece of dust that gets through when you're riding. Trust me...this is very annoying when u're on long rides. THis also means that it gets a bit breazy if u're going fast ie 140+km/h.
