Aucklands North Westen car park (motorway)

Is royaly fucked, can see it from my office,

There has been a multiple car pile up on the North Western Motorway, ambulance, fire and police are in attendance. Only one lane is currently open. They are advising people to take an alternative route.

If a near fatal (fatal?) accident doesn't do it WTF will!

The way I heard it was that a car had a blow out and stopped on the M/Way. A light truck pulled up quick, and a MPV smashed into the rear of the truck.

I drove past it and the front of the MPV was completly f@#ked. The roof had been cut off to get whoever out.

It was a really sobering seen, fire ambo's, police then other people on cell phones running around, I really feel for everyone involved.

What pissed me off was as the traffic sped up a bloke in a Red Techscape ute (number plate obscured by the towball) decided to blatently tailgated the car in front, he was at times no more than 2 metres away I pulled up beside him, and he was cursing and swearing at the bloke in front, his female passenger was not impressed with his driving either and it looked like he was trying to justify his behaviour to her.

When the traffic stopped ahead I wound down the passenger window, and said "hey mate, didn't you learn anything that happened back there" (we both drove past the scene).

His response was "mind you own business, and fuck off".

Well Mr Angry fuck you. It might not be any of my business either but your tailgating one day might, just might cause the same accident as we both went through.

If a fatal or near fatal accident doesn't modify your behaviour then nothing will!
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

yeah, the crash looked bad... i couldnt figure out how it could have happened.. but the explanation above suited the damage..... as usual... westbound was banked up thanks to rubber neckers.... i love those people... but at least it was a quick one home after that!!

    Why?
Sad for the people involved but if people drive so they cant fucking well stop or observe the traffic in front of them - my patience has long since ended. Why should we pussyfoot because of peoples incompetence?!

I don't think that motorway needs an accident to be a car park...

Trying to get to qkchk's thursday night ride, I had to get from out east, to west Left Bucklands Beach (just above Howick) at 1810, and had to split just about the whole of both motorways to get to westgate at 1845 ish...
