Where can I get a new Fairing

    Hello,
I want to see what is available in the way of bikini fairings for my bike (GSX1400). The bike currently has a Givi Aerostar screen, which is great for weather protection, however it is time to look for something a little more sporty (read less like a brick) to suit the bike . I know Motomail have the other Givi sports fairings, but was wondering if there is any one else out there that makes/displays a good selection of universal fairing that I could look at?
Any ideas of shops or factories that might be worth a look would be greatly appreciated.
If I were you...............then who would be me???

    GSX1400 Fairing

WOW...very cool,..i like it!....now where is my passport, how far away did you say Japan was ?
Thanks for the replyI have since seen a few more on a GSX1400 owners site, mostly in Pommy land, but some really excellent looking variations on a new Bandit 1200 fairing and a 3/4 one. I guess i will just keep looking.

Maybe before your time but old farts like me will remember exactly that style of fairing and the same colour scheme as the old GS1000S,known here as the "Ice Cream Van" because of the paint job.I think it had a smaller back wheel as well to the standard model.Best bet for your fairing is to go on Google and take a look at the sites of the big U.K.mail-order retailers,MPS,M&P and Busters, they`ll all ship abroad and you wont have to pay V.A.T. so that`s 17.5% off for a start.Best bet is to get prices from the first 2 then go to Busters and they`ll beat them. Most likely source are a firm called Powerbronze but I`m not sure whether they sell direct, they look good but the fittings are usually crap and their stuff is a bitch to fit, works well when it`s done as a rule though.

Just an idea here but why not visit your local wrecker.
The old xj550 used to have a similar fairing to the gs1000
A freinnd of mine bought a beaten up old fairing and used it as a mould for a fibreglass copy.He then adjusted the mould till it suited his bike.

Drive round on a sunday and pick up some Real Estate Signs - they are fecken light, reasonably pliable and can be painted. And there you go - cheap fairings. Better still get a Real Estate Company to sponsor you and you won't need to paint them

It sounds like you have some experience with this .....so who did you get to sponsor your bike.....Ray White, Harveys, Century 21?

That Wes Cooley fairing looks great -- even on the GSX1400! At least the one photoed doesn't have white wheels... (How to make a muscle bike look naff in one easy lesson)

    Wes Cooley Rep

Yep....your right I think the white wheels look a bit manky too...reminds me of a jap import 'wanna be' car.
Suzuki - what were you thinking?
I have the graveyard grey with the nice shiny black rims
Still looking for something local - might even consider a 3/4 frame mounted one with twin eyes (some where to mount the NoS bottle)
